President Obama’s First 100 Days: The Tea Party Protests as Report Card

Thousands of Americans exercised their freedom of speech via “tea party” protests against the alleged higher taxation and runaway budets of the Obama Administration. Some of it got ugly:

As MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow adeptly noted, some of the crowd sizes were smaller than that of your friendly neighborhood flea market (certainly less than the throngs at job fairs, in unemployment center lines, or queuing up to be “America’s Next Top Model” or audition for “American Idol”). No matter the number, where were all these outspoken citizens when the Bush Administration was running record deficits, and throwing away billions in Iraq and Afghanistan? Did they protest on the last three or four April 15’s?

If so, the media was not there.
